As of writing, 3 episodes of WandaVision have hit our screens on Disney+ and it’s safe to say that the show currently has asked more questions than it has answered. As we know each episode is set in a different decade taking inspiration from the sitcoms of that generation. We currently have seen the 50s, 60s and the newest episode, the ‘in colour’ iteration of the sitcom set in the 70s. This leaves us with 3 more decades to explore before the final 3 episodes which have been promised by cast members to be an epic conclusion.
The final episodes promise to answer all the questions fans have about the unique and intriguing plot of WandaVision. However there are still a number of theories going around the marvel fan base that could come true.
As the series keeps building its intrigue in the coming weeks now is a perfect opportunity to get our brains thinking and say what we think could come true in the 2nd half of the series.

1) Monica will become Spectrum:
Spectrum is the superheroine alias of Monica Rambeau who we have met in the 2nd and 3rd episode of WandaVision as well as her younger self in Captain Marvel. The ending of episode 3 didn’t end well for Monica as she was cast out of Westview by a scary Wanda Maximoff after she mentioned Ultron killing Pietro at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
We are yet to see Monica have any special abilities, which from the comics include the ability to manipulate electromagnetic energy. She developed these abilities when she was exposed to an energy device.
Even though these abilities have not been on display, there is definitely the possibility that she has just received her powers and she has received them by no other than Wanda.
When Wanda cast out Monica at the end of episode 3 we see Monica travel through the reality of Westview and back into the normal world. Could this be how she develops her abilities? Wanda is definitely powerful enough to have the energy in her attack to give her these powers and travelling out of Westview could have exposed her to the energy needed for Monica to become Spectrum.

2) Agnes is not a villain:
Questions surrounding the nosy neighbour that is Agnes have many fans suggesting she could be the character known to comic fans as Agatha Harkness. Agatha is quite an unknown character in the comics but she has served as a mentor to Wanda while also serving Marvel’s devil Mephisto.
However after episode 3 we saw a deeper look at the character of Agnes. In the episode we saw Agnes look scared as she tells Herb to “stop it”. If Agnes was a villain then why would she be scared, she would be the one in control which is what had been presented in the previous 2 episodes; hence people had assumed she would be a villain. Episode 3 switched this and has made us think twice about Agnes.
Could Agnes in fact be the victim in Westview? Agnes is very friendly with Wanda and could the reason for this be purely be down to the fact she doesn’t want to get on Wanda’s bad side.
Alternatively could Agnes be working for someone worse and scarier than Wanda? If Agnes is serving Mephisto it would be hard to think she is a villain because of the power and control Mephisto has over people. Agnes would be scared and would not want to disappoint the devil of Marvel.

3) Vision will permanently die:
At the end of Avengers: Infinity War the loveable android Vision is killed twice. First, Vision is killed by his lover Wanda and then secondly by the mad titan Thanos. However as the title of the series shows Vision returns and doesn’t look dead, but by the end of the show he could be.
Viewers are made to question everything in Westview and Vision is definitely one aspect of that. The Vision we are seeing could have been created by Wanda and is not the Vision we see before his death at the end of Infinity War. It definitely feels like a different Vision as we saw a more comedic side to the character which hasn’t been seen before and wasn’t a Vision characteristic.
However the likelihood of Vision making it to the final credits does seem unlikely. During episode 3 Vision is starting to become uneasy about everything happening in Westview. The 70s style cut that occurs during the episode has raised the possibility that Vision may be starting to ask question he shouldn’t be.
If Vision starts to discover what is going on in Westview and discovers he isn’t alive what will he do? Also what will Wanda do? Wanda may be forced to destroy her love once again or as the reality of Westview falls, Vision could fall with it. This ultimately means that Vision will stay dead.

4) Evan Pieters will appear as Quicksilver:
Pietro Maximoff played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson died in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However Evan Pieters played Quicksilver in 3 of the X-Men movies which at the time were under the Fox banner. This is no longer the case as the House of Mouse has acquired the rights for the X-Men. What will Marvel Studios do with the X-Men?
A way that the X-Men could appear in the MCU could come from WandaVision as a result of Wanda and her powers. In the comic storyline ‘House of M’, Wanda says the famous words, “No more mutants”. Obviously in the MCU there is currently no mutants so could the show see a twist as Wanda says, “Let there be mutants.”
This brings us to the theory that Evan Pieters could appear as Quicksilver because Wanda surely would want her brother to return to life. Simular to how Vision is alive we could see Wanda do something to see a return for her brother. However something could go wrong and she brings back an alternate version of her brother which would be Evan Pieters’ version of Quicksilver from the X-Men universe.
This theory also has potential as it has been noted that Evan Pieters does appear on the cast list when you do a simple google search. Could this be telling us that Pieters will make his debut in the MCU?

5) Billy and Tommy will die:
Episode 3 sees Wanda give birth to twins, Billy and Tommy. The twins have abilities in the comics and take the names Wiccan (Billy) and Speed (Tommy) as they become Young Avengers.
Marvel Studios do seem to be building to a Young Avengers project as we are seeing the introduction of younger characters like Kate Bishop in the upcoming Hawkeye series and an older version of Cassie Lang in the Ant Man & Wasp: Quantamania. However the chances of Billy and Tommy being part of that team up are not high.
Billy and Tommy not making it past the series comes from the comics, where their souls were taken by Mephisto as he bargained with Wanda. Wanda who seems to be enjoying the reality of Westview could make that bargain with Mephisto and her children could be taken from her so she can keep her reality.
Moreover the fact Agnes is supposedly Agatha Harkness makes this theory more likely as she played a major part in the story whereby Wiccan and Speed were taken from Wanda.

6) Wanda will bargain with Mephisto:
As we just previously mentioned Wanda could bargain with Mephisto to keep Westview a reality. The series is exploring the grief of Wanda and one of the stages of grief is bargaining, which makes the appearance of Mephisto an exciting possibility.
The 5 stages of grief are: Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Wanda throughout the MCU has shown the denial and anger aspects of grief. The denial is clear in WandaVision; with the fact Vision is still alive when we all know him to be dead. Also Wanda has been denying her brother’s death throughout her time in the MCU. The only mention of his name came in episode 3 which sparked anger from Wanda.
Nobody would want to get on Wanda’s bad side which we have seen occur twice in the MCU. The first time was in Avengers: Endgame when she bested Thanos and was moments away from killing him. The second was when Wanda cast out Monica from Westview.
So we have seen the first 2 stages of grief from Wanda. Next in the grieving process is bargaining. Wanda clearly would love her brother and Vision to be alive, so who better to bargain with to make sure they stay alive, than the devil? Or what we should say is who worse to bargain with?

7) Everyone in Westview will die:
The town of Westview is a creepy place to be, from its cult like echo of “For the children” to the trance members of the town have been seen in. Suggestions have been made, that the people of Westview are already dead and have been brought back by Wanda simular to how Vision is alive.
That being said alternatively it feels like everyone in Westview is trapped. We get a clearer picture of this when Dr. Nielson says, “small towns are hard to escape.” This could mean that the whole town cannot leave, but why?
Potentially the reason is that everyone is trapped by Wanda or they are a fictional creation by Wanda.
If Wanda has created the people of Westview with her mind so she can live out this reality, then when the reality inevitably crumbles the whole town and everyone in it would crumble with it. Could the people of Westview have learned this already which is why they act how they do? The town dwellers could be just trying to survive, but ultimately won’t.

8) SWORD are working with AIM:
A part of the series which has constantly raised questions is the use of hexagons. We have seen the shape at the end of episodes 1 and 2, then again in the opening for episode 3.
Hexagons are just a shape but it is the shape that makes the logo for Advanced Idea Mechanics –AIM, which was the villainous organisation in Iron Man 3. We know that SWORD (Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division) is the organisation on the outside of Westview observing everything but the hexagons could suggest that they are not the only ones observing what is going on.
Moreover at the end of episode 2 a beekeeper emerges from the ground, but Wanda says “no” and time reminds and the beekeeper isn’t seen again. The person who emerged from the ground was wearing a SWORD logo; however the beekeeper suit is something that AIM scientists have been known to wear.
The link with AIM is there and if AIM is helping SWORD we could potentially see a similar situation which occurred with Hydra in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. AIM will have ulterior motivations for helping than SWORD and an alliance between the two groups would only be short lived.

9) Wanda will open the Multiverse:
It has been confirmed that Marvel Studios will be exploring the multiverse in future properties. WandaVision looks set to start that. Westview is a pocket reality which has been created by someone, most likely Wanda herself. So if Wanda can create a pocket reality she will be able to explore alternate realities across the multiverse.
Opening the multiverse could allow Wanda to be reunited with everyone she has lost throughout her life, but this could also cause problems as threats from these realities could appear. The castings of Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina for the upcoming untitled Spider-Man movie make this a possibility.
As mentioned before, Marvel Studios now have the rights for the X-Men. In the comics Wanda is a mutant, so could the finale of WandaVision see Wanda learn about mutants from alternate realities and could she want to bring them to hers.
Also Elizabeth Olsen is set to star in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As the title suggests the multiverse will be explored and the actions of Wanda in WandaVision could cause the problem Dr. Strange needs to solve. The power level of Wanda definitely lends to the possibility that Wanda is the one to cause the multiverse problem. The possibilities on what she does are endless but she will have a big role in the multiverse in the MCU.

10) Wanda is the villain:
So far in the series we are being led to believe that someone else is behind what is happening in Westview, even if Wanda has influence over it. We heard the voice of Jimmy Woo through the radio in episode 2 asking Wanda who is doing it to her. But what if nobody is doing it to her?
We are starting to see a different side to Wanda as her face in the end of episode 3 had the looks of evil. It wasn’t the fun loving side of her we have been seeing. She was serious and looked eerily calm. No longer was she a scared little girl working for the Avengers. She was a grown woman that does what she wants.
If this is where the series continues to go we will surely see a darker turn from Wanda. The involvement of SWORD may cause Wanda to act out as she wants to be left alone. If the interference causes harm to anyone in Westview then Wanda would be quick to react and we would be in for something scary and dangerous for anyone who got in her way.
Wanda’s heel turn would see her become a major threat to anyone who disrupts her happiness. Her happiness could see her alter something in the multiverse which draws the attention of the sorcerer supreme. A showdown between Dr. Strange and the Scarlet Witch would be epic and definitely worth the wait.
