With the season finale of WandaVision completing Wanda’s (Elizabeth Olsen) journey through her grief attention turns to what is next for her. However, there are parts of the finale that relate to previous movies, episodes and even other pop culture titles. Marvel Studios tend to have many Easter Eggs in their projects and the finale of WandaVision did not disappoint.
Agatha takes powers from the undeserving:

One of the questions that fans had coming into the finale was what the motive of Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) was. Many had theorised that she was working for someone, although this could still have been the case, the main motive of the evil witch was to drain the powers from witches she deemed undeserving.
At the beginning of episode 8 we saw these powers on display. Agatha drained her coven of all their powers and left them all for dead. At the time it wasn’t confirmed that she took their powers, but the finale confirmed this as Agatha wanted all of Wanda’s chaos magic powers for herself.
Draining the powers of the other witches also explains how Agatha has managed to live for so long. When she first absorbs Wanda’s attack, Wanda’s hand turns old. This tells us that while taking the powers of witches, Agatha also takes their youth.
Wizard of Oz:

Many younger Marvel viewers may have missed the Wizard of Oz reference in the finale. In the opening exchange Wanda uses her magic to hit Agatha with a car. This then crashes into a house. Upon inspection Wanda doesn’t find Agatha, instead she finds her boots lying under the rubble.
This is a nod to the original Wizard of Oz movie where the Wicked Witch of the East was crushed by a house and the only part of her on view was her lower legs. This was very similar to what Wanda saw in the rubble. What makes this even more of a nod is the fact Agatha is in fact a witch.
Moreover when the wicked witch of the East is crushed her body turns to dust. Many times during the finale Agatha disappears just like this and moves to a different location.
White Vision:

A scene that looked like it was ripped out the comics was when Wanda reunited with Vision (Paul Bettany), the White Vision. Just like the comics Wanda is shocked to see her lover, but quickly realises that it isn’t the same synthezoid she fell in love with. Crushing her skull may have had something to do with that.
During the battle between the Vision’s many will have become confused as the pair share their thoughts on the Ship of Theseus. This philosophical theory raises the question to whether if something which has had all its components replaced remains the same. This theory shares another link to the Wizard of Oz as the Tin Man debated whether he was the same person just because he was made of tin.
Both Vision’s in the end agree that White Vision in fact is the true Vision because unlike the Vision Wanda created he is made of the original material. This causes White Vision to leave and not be seen again, but the possibility for his return which also happened in the comics is still a possibility.
Jimmy Woo sleight of hand:

Fan favourite Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) was last on our screens in Ant-Man and the Wasp where he asked Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) how he managed to learn close up magic. Scott told Jimmy he watched YouTube tutorials.
With WandaVision taking place roughly 5 years after Ant-Man and the Wasp we saw that Jimmy had learnt some skills in close up magic as he flips his FBI badge out of nowhere to give to Monica (Teyonah Paris). At the time this was a nice call back, but when it mattered most Jimmy’s sleight of hand came in clutch.
After being arrested by Haywood (Josh Stamberg) and S.W.O.R.D. Jimmy manages to steal a phone and paper clip without being detected. His close up magic skills will have come in handy to not be detected. Succeeding in this allowed Jimmy to make the call to his friends in the FBI which resulted in the arrest of Haywood. Who would have thought that Jimmy Woo and his close up magic would have been the main reason for Haywood being arrested by the FBI?
Darkhold:

Many speculated that the book in Agatha’s basement in episode 7 was the Darkhold. In the finale Agatha confirmed this as she began talking about the ‘book of the dammed’. Notably she discusses the chapter on the Scarlet Witch where she describes her power to be greater than the sorcerer supreme and her destiny being to destroy the world.
The appearance of the Darkhold could be key for future movies especially with the post credit scene confirming that Wanda’s astral form is reading the dark book. The line that it’s the Scarlet Witch’s destiny to destroy the world could become one of the most important lines in the series, because in the comics when people read the Darkhold they often become possessed by the book.
To be more accurate the user becomes possessed by the demon Chthon, who is also the god of chaos. The god of chaos is the being that first used chaos magic and in the comics is who gave Wanda her powers!
The Incredibles:

In the Halloween Spooktacular episode a showing of The Incredibles was seen on display at the theatre. This was an obvious nod to how the Maximoff’s are a family of superhero individuals. The finale went further with this and had the family team up just like The Incredibles did in their battle against Syndrome.
As everyone converged on the family we got an epic moment when Wanda tells her children they were born for this. The family then proceed to battle.
Another nod to The Incredibles was how Wanda projected a shield over her family to protect them simular to how Violet does in The Incredibles. Young Tommy also had moments simular to fellow speedster Dash as he uses his super speed to take out agents with guns.
Monica absorbs a bullet:

In recent episodes we have started to see the powers of Monica Rambeau develop as we learn how she can manipulate energy. This was developed further as she was able to detect that the necklace Ralph Bohner (Evan Peters) was wearing was what Agatha used to control him.
More of Monica’s powers get displayed during the finale. Her big moment was when she was able to absorb a bullet she ran in front of which Haywood had fired aiming at the twins.
In the comics Monica has the ability to absorb energy and has taken a bullet before. She doesn’t feel anything from this because her powers allow her to transform into an energy which is the same as whatever is fired at her. As such the bullet can pass through her with no damage being done. As more of Monica’s comic book powers are on display we will continue to learn how comic accurate she will be in the MCU.
Scarlet Witch:

It had been said before WandaVision hit our screens that we would see Wanda make her full transition into the Scarlet Witch. We finally got the name drop at the end of episode 8 which but the season finale finally gave us the full version everyone has been wanting.
“Previously On” also showed us the past of Wanda and how she came to gain her powers. We got to see the experimentation with the mind stone and how Wanda’s pre-existing powers were amplified. Within this scene there was foreshadowing as when the mind stone exploded a figure looking like the comic book version of the Scarlet Witch came down to Wanda.
We then got to see this happen. When Wanda reabsorbed her powers from Agatha, the Scarlet Witch appeared in full. She was in her full costume and the transition of Wanda into the Scarlet Witch was complete.
A Skrull appearance:

We were given two post-credit scenes, with the first regarding Monica and the Skrull’s. Monica was called into the theatre by an agent we assumed was working for the FBI. However, this agent turned out to be one of the shapeshifters we first met in Captain Marvel.
The interaction between Monica and the Skrull set up the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel as the Skrull tells Monica one of her mother’s old friends has asked to see her. We can assume she was talking about Nick Fury but there is more to the scene.
When she where they want her to meet, the agent points to the sky. If cast our minds to the Spider-Man: Far From Home post credit scene, we know she is referring to the ship which Nick Fury and the Skrull were on. This is known as The Peak and looks set to be the new base for Fury and the Skrull’s.
Wundagore Mountain:

Previously we mentioned that in the final post credit scene that Wanda was reading the Darkhold. However, the location of this scene is also of importance to what potentially could happen to Wanda next.
Wundagore Mountain was the place in which Wanda was born in the comics, so her return to this area could indicate a deeper dive into her origin. Moreover, the fact that this mountain has been chosen to go alongside with Wanda reading the Darkhold has further importance.
We mentioned that the Darkhold was written by Chthon, well the location at which Chthon wrote the ‘book of sins’ was inside the mountain. As such all the signs from this scene indicate that Chthon could be a potential villain in the MCU’s future.
